The Blackhouse Forest Estate has announced that it will be beginning a further phase in its renovation plans this summer with the addition of a new open space.
The open space area of the extension will have floor to ceiling glass on the southern side with a glass roof, whilst the annex will be blended into the surroundings with laid turf on the roof. Some of the ground removed for the project will be reused for this, in keeping with the Blackhouse ethos of sustainability.
Currently able to sleep a party of eight guests, the building work will see an additional bedroom become available in the main house as well as five en-suite bathrooms.
Following the renovations, the venue hopes to be ready for bookings in Autumn 2021.
