Preliminary figures from Expo Management, the organiser of the Best of Britain and Ireland (BOBI) tourism show, show a five per cent increase in attendance.
“Our initial data shows total attendance at the show was 2,226, and total exhibitor numbers have been confirmed as 285, an increase of 11 per cent over 2011,” said Sam Warnock, Event Director.
The two-day tourism trade event was held at the NEC Birmingham last week and represented the largest gathering of tourism professionals to date this year from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. It was also part of English Tourism Week.
