Best of Britain and Ireland launches BoBI Express

Best of Britain & Ireland (BoBI), the travel trade event that takes place in March 2013, aims to boost attendance by providing free coach transport for visitors to the show from 11 destinations across the UK.
 
The BoBI Express service is being provided free of charge to visitors in association with Andersons Tours who will be co-ordinating the coaches using Coach Marque companies, and providing booking facilities via their website.
 
In addition Greener Journeys are backing the service which will have the potential to save over 9,000 Kg of CO2 emissions compared to visitors using their cars to attend the show.
 
“The fact is that coach travel is a really green way to travel which results in less than a quarter of the emissions per passenger than the equivalent journey by car.” said Meera Rambissoon, Campaign Manager at Greener Journeys. “We are delighted to be supporting the BoBI Express service, which highlights in just a small way, how coach travel really makes a difference when it comes to saving the planet – we would encourage as many registered visitors as possible to use this fantastic initiative.”
 
Best Western, Marriott, Hilton, Menzies and Puma hotels are also supporting the service providing not only pick-up places with parking facilities, but all are offering free teas and coffees for waiting passengers.
 
“The support we have received from our hotel partners has been fantastic,” said BoBI Event Director Sam Warnock. “Following a successful trial launch of the BoBI Express service in 2012, we decided to ramp up the number of destinations available to our 2013 visitors.”
 
Coaches will pick up passengers on both March 13 and 14 during the two days of the show and will operate from Manchester via Stoke-on-Trent, Bexleyheath via Watford, London via Oxford, Leeds via Nottingham, Bristol direct, and Cambridge via Peterborough.
