Hillgate Travel, an independent Travel Management Company, held its annual staff conference in London recently. Attended by over 110 members of staff from each of Hillgate Travel’s three UK offices, the event played host to athletics legend Kriss Akabusi who provided the keynote address.
Currently celebrating its 30th year of operation, Hillgate Travel used the conference as a platform to thank its staff for their on-going support.
Akabusi delivered a motivational speech regarding the importance of teamwork and touched upon his own inspirational story, charting his gold medal success at the World Championships in Tokyo (1991) through to his current career in the media.
The morning session was followed by a gala lunch and award ceremony during which a number of staff were formally recognised to honour key successes throughout the year. The key awards presented included the Customer Service award, the Employee of the Year award and the Hillgate Ethos award.
The Hillgate Travel conference took place at the Royal Horseguards Hotel on 11 May 2013.
