Ashfield Meetings & Events, part of UDG Healthcare – the global event management company specialising in healthcare – has appointed former Account Director Jennifer Perry as Director of Training and Recruitment.
Perry’s new role is centred around supporting the developmental journey of employees, including through training modules and workshops.
“The fast-paced nature of the pharmaceutical meetings and events industry requires a flexible training and development programme to ensure we support all account teams, roles and levels within our organisation,” explains Sian Pedersen, the agency’s VP of Operational Excellence.
Perry has been involved with various initiatives aimed at developing Ashfield staff, such as Future Focus (created to identify individuals with the potential to fill future, critical roles), LEAD Managers training (Leadership Excellence And Development programme designed to provide professional development geared towards supporting mid-level management) and hard and soft skills training sessions.
“We understand how vital it is for all employees to feel valued, supported and inspired to be the best they can be – creating those ‘A-ha moments’ when they recognise they’ve learned something new or valuable and are fulfilling their potential,” says Perry, adding: “I’m so excited to expand our training and development programmes in order to see more of those ‘A-ha moments’ across the business.”
