The initiative was agreed at the BVEP’s recent Partnership meeting in Glasgow.
The newly-appointed Vice-Chairs will work alongside Chairman, Michael Hirst, with a view to improving two-way communications with key industry associations.
They will also form proposals future aims, activities and structure of the organisation. The Vice-Chairs also hope to more effectively represent the UK events industry in front of stakeholders and other representative bodies.
“The Business Visits & Events Partnership continues to grow in relevance both within the UK events industry and in front of wider business, consumer and government audiences,” said Hirst. “The appointment of four first rate Vice-Chairs gives us the opportunity to develop a long-term strategy.”
The BVEP is formed of 20 associations and organisations within the UK events industry.
“In Samme, Richard, Simon and Chris, I’m personally delighted to have such a wide range of experience and specialism to both represent the Partnership, and play such a pivotal role in the future of the BVEP,” Hirst added.
