Aircraft charter specialist, Air Charter Service, reports it raised more than £30,000 for charity in 2012.

ACS’s Charity Committee organised a variety of events, including quiz nights, parties and entries into The Great River Race which all raised funds for three nominated charities: London Air Ambulance, Cancer Research UK and HEAL.

Over the past two years ACS’s donations have paid for a new IT classroom and a new library for the HEAL orphanage and school in Andhra Pradesh, India.

Company Secretary, Treasurer and head of the Charity Committee, Tina Leach (pictured) said: “I was fortunate enough to visit the village in Andhra Pradesh last year to witness first hand what our fund raising was helping to build. I was so touched to see what a difference we could make.”

ACS arranges 6,000 charters annually and employs 250 staff worldwide.
