As Reed Travel Exhibitions (RTE) Americas trade show for the meetings industry, AIBTM, opens to exhibitors and visitors today (20 June), organisers say there will be 55 new exhibitors in an expanded hall area at the Baltimore Convention Center.
Twenty-six per cent of exhibitors have taken more stand space, according to RTE.
IBTM
Portfolio Director at RTE, Craig Moyes, and Visit Baltimore President
and CEO Tom Noonan welcomed guests to the Visit Baltimore Welcome Party
at Power Plant Live! Michael Jackson tribute band So Bad entertained and
guests got to try out local food and drink and some fancy dress, too,
in the Inner Harbor area.
On
the opening evening, Eric Rozenberg (pictured), Executive Chair of
RTE’s IBTM portfolio, will chair a CEO Summit for senior level industry
executives on board the USS Constellation.
The CEO Summits, noted Rozenberg, are now incorporated across the IBTM portfolio.
“We
want to engender industry-wide, strategically led debate about issues
identified by those attending the summit, as well as determine a
research agenda for the IBTM group to undertake. There will be short,
punchy presentations by a variety of international speakers,” he said.
