Simon Hambley (pictured), CEO of Strata Creative Communications, has said the agency is seeing a return of live international events.
“Clients and audiences have a definite desire to get back to live, and a renewed value is being placed on face-to-face engagement. This is true across all audiences – consumer activation, staff and B2B,” says Hambley.
However, this has caused Strata, like many agencies, to experience shorter lead times. “This is followed by a longer decision making process. Both elements are putting pressure on the delivery cycle of larger projects, which makes securing venues and specialist suppliers more challenging,” he says.
International travel
“Hand in hand with this, is a renewed confidence in travelling internationally,” he adds. Hambley believes issues with airlines in the UK are more of an “annoyance”, rather than a reason to cancel.
“Covid-19 is less of a cause for concern, although staff sickness and isolation remains a challenge,” he says.
Strata have already delivered, and are now planning, more large international conferences with global audiences during Q2.
