The Association of Event Venues (AEV) will hold its 2018 conference, 28 June, on the theme of ‘Tomorrow’s World’ and featuring Keith Coats, noted futurist and leadership expert, as keynote speaker.

AEV director Rachel Parker urged venue professionals interested in the future shape of venue business and operations to book their places, saying: “We’ve focused our third conference on the future of venues, because venue professionals need to know about the profound changes heading our way. We’ve assembled a great schedule of content to engage with every aspect of tomorrow’s world of venue operations.”

Presenter, facilitator and author Keith Coats will be this year’s keynote. He has helped professionals from The Scouts to IBM in leading their organisations in preparing, embracing and successfully managing future change.

The conference, to be held at ExCeL London, will include presentations from Adele Burns of the7stars Media Agency and Sanjeev Katwa, head of technology at Tottenham Hotspur FC. The speakers will be interspersed with panel sessions on topics including sustainability and security.

This year’s icebreaker on the night before the conference will be held at the DC ‘Dawn of the Superheroes’ exhibition at the O2. Parker said: “I am hoping it will inspire our venue superheroes into even greater achievements in the future!”

Registration for the conference is open at: www.aevconference.org.uk
