ACC Liverpool welcomed a selection of conference booking agents for a familiarisation visit to the city.
Guests enjoyed a busy itinerary including visits to St George’s Hall, Liverpool Cathedral, Panoramic 34, one of the UK’s highest restaurants, Liverpool Football Club and Doubletree by Hilton Liverpool, an upscale hotel in the heart of the city centre due to open in autumn 2013.
Attendees were given a site tour of ACC Liverpool, home to BT Convention Centre and Echo Arena, and took part in a social media workshop delivered by industry experts Ph Creative.
Stephanie Marlane, ACC Liverpool National Sales Manager, said: “FAM trips are a fantastic opportunity to showcase to conference organisers not only what our venue but the entire city has to offer delegates.
“We were able to show our guests some city treasures which encapsulate the heritage and culture of the region including Liverpool Town Hall and Tate Liverpool.”
Guests included Therese Dolan from Congrex UK; Anne Doherty and Paulina Wyczawska from Happening; Catherine Evans from Worldspan Group, and Mike Macleod from Firehouse.
