The Association of British Professional Conference Organisers (ABPCO) is hosting its first event dedicated to in-house PCOs on 25 September, hosted by the Wellcome Trust, London as part of its silver jubilee anniversary celebrations.
Focusing on networking and ’How to make the most of Linkedin’, the event will bring together 25 of ABPCO’s own in-house PCO members with other Association buyers from across the capital to network and discuss best practice with world renowned speaker and Linkedin expert Bert Verdonk, sponsored by Glasgow City Marketing Bureau (GCMB).
“This 25th anniversary year is special to ABPCO as it gives us an opportunity to celebrate our long-standing pedigree in the conferencing industry and encourages us to reflect on best practice,” says ABPCO Vice-Chair Jennifer Jenkins, who will chair the event. “Our members benefit form peer-to-peer networking, sharing experiences and ideas to help each other deliver the best possible conferences and meetings.”
Aileen Crawford, Head of Conventions at GCMB, adds: “This event marks a milestone occasion for ABPCO and it’s a great opportunity to get together with colleagues and partners from across the industry to share ideas. The Linkedin session will provide an ideal forum through which attendees can engage and connect, both on and offline.”
