The Museum of the Order of St John in London’s Clerkenwell, celebrated the launch of its venue spaces with a Champagne Tea and an afternoon of Shakespearean fun on 1 July. Some 190 events planners and corporate clients stay cool in the Arcadian surroundings of the museum’s Priory Garden as temperatures soared over 30C. Extracts from Shakespeare’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ were permed by members of the Lions part theatre company.
Juliet Barclay, the museum’s marketing, events and development co-ordinator, said: “I always compare the Museum of the Order of St John to a step back in time. The moment you walk through the door you are catapulted into a world many lifetimes away from the hustle and bustle of London as we know it today, which makes it an unforgettable place to hold a special event.”
