The Celtic Collection takes CN on a venue tour, from hotels to conference centres.
The Celtic Collection is a group of experience-focused UK business and leisure destination hotels. Born from the legacy of the Celtic Manor Resort, the group’s flagship destination situated in the Usk Valley at the gateway to South Wales, the Celtic Collection aims to bring together high-quality accommodation, service and facilities. At the centre of every venue is the memorable experience associated with the Celtic Manor Resort brand.
Celtic Manor Resort
The five-star Celtic Manor Resort is The Celtic Collections’ flagship destination in South Wales. Located in the city of Newport, the 330-bed hotel is home to six restaurants, five bars, two luxury spas and three championship golf courses.
There is also an on-site convention centre, which has been purpose-built for everything from board meetings to major conferences in the 1,500-delegate Caernarfon Suite, with 24 additional syndicate and meeting rooms.
The Celtic Manor Resort also has a history of hosting major events, including the 2014 NATO Summit and 2010 Ryder Cup.
The Parkgate Hotel
The 4-star Parkgate Hotel is the latest addition to The Celtic Collection portfolio. The 170-bed hotel, which opened in October 2021, is situated in original post office and county court heritage buildings, adjacent to Principality Stadium in the heart of Cardiff, South Wales.
The Parkgate Hotel is home to one of the largest event spaces in the city, with its Postmaster Suite capable of hosting up to 432 people. Period features of the heritage properties have been brought out to create facilities that include the Sorting Room brasserie restaurant and bar, tea lounges, and a rooftop spa with infinity pool views over the city skyline.
ICC Wales
The 5,000-capacity International Convention Centre Wales (ICC Wales) is located within the grounds of the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport.
The venue, which is a joint venture between Celtic Manor and the Welsh Government, includes a 4,000sqm pillar-free main hall, a 1,500-seated auditorium, 15 flexible meeting rooms, a double-height glass atrium with views of the surrounding Coldra Woods and a 2,500sqm outdoor plaza.
The venue is located near Junction 24 of the M4, major train stations and two international airports, making it accessible for any delegate or visitor. ICC Wales is also situated in a woodland area and has floor to ceiling meeting room windows to showcase the outdoor space.
Since opening in 2019, ICC Wales has been the host venue for several large association events and conferences, including the UK Space Conference.
