RCNi, part of the Royal College of Nursing, has chosen Destination Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester as the venue for its Nursing Careers and Jobs Fair for three consecutive years, highlighting the venue’s exceptional ability to host large-scale, high-profile events.
For over 15 years, the RCNi Nursing Careers and Jobs Fair has been the UK’s largest job fair for UK nursing professionals. It serves as a comprehensive platform for nurses, healthcare assistants, newly qualified nurses, and nursing students to advance their careers. The event includes CPD-accredited seminars, opportunities to engage with potential employers, and invaluable career advice.
This year’s event was held on 24 April in The Point, a spacious conference centre with a capacity for up to 1,000 guests. The space features seven-metre-high windows offering panoramic views of the cricket pitch. Additionally, multiple interview rooms were available for employers to conduct private interviews, leading to immediate job placements.
Outcomes
The event’s engaging environment and support from the venue’s events teams contributed significantly to the positive outcomes. Following this success, RCNi has decided to return to Destination Emirates Old Trafford in 2025.
RCNi events manager Tina Sutch said: “We held the same event at Destination Emirates Old Trafford last year for the first time, and it was a great success. The venue’s events team has been great to work with. They were clear in all communication and supported me very well in the lead-up to my event. The venue and location worked perfectly, so it made sense to rebook for 2024 and again in 2025.”
Destination Emirates Old Trafford has recently completed a £75m investment project to transform the world-famous cricket stadium into a world-class, multi-purpose venue in Manchester. The development included an extension to the onsite Hilton Garden Inn hotel, which now features 250 rooms, including 135 pitch-side accommodations.
