Manchester Central claims to have tripled its revenue from the small meetings market in 2013, despite being known primarily as a venue for larger conferences and events.
Manchester Central has 25 smaller meetings spaces equipped to deliver events for between 40 and 450 people and the venue generated £250k from smaller meetings over the past calendar year, three times the figure generated in 2012.
Angie Robinson, Chief Executive of Manchester Central, said: “We know it can be difficult to tick all the boxes in terms of location, space, catering, setting and budget. Yet by picking a major venue like Manchester Central, organisers can benefit from the standard of world-class service that larger venues must hone to remain competitive at value-for-money prices.”
