Organiser of the Event Production Show, Mash Media, has confirmed plans for its series of seminars, workshops and panel debates for the 2014 edition of the show, which takes place at Earls Court 2 on 11-12 February 2014.
Returning to the Main Stage are the Access Sessions, which will see discussions on the best use of experiential marketing with Richard Vincent from Jack Morton Worldwide; a case study on the Parklife British Summer Time concerts with Jim King from AEG Live/Loud Sound; and a vision of a low carbon, sustainable events industry with Chris Johnson from the Green Festival Alliance. A sporting panel is yet to be announced.
New for 2014 will be the Event Technology Theatre and Production Area, two dedicated spaces for seminars on the latest technological innovations and a practical ’How To’ series for staging events respectively.
Speakers in the Event Technology Theatre will cover all things digital including building communities online; selecting and using the best social media platforms; using technology to register and manage delegates; the 10 best apps and gamification for better business.
In the Production Area, delegates can learn about the day-to-day organising of a live event. This includes evaluating tenders; deciding on naming rights; taster workshops on producing site plans and build schedules; writing production briefs; and compiling safety files.
“Content at the Show is something we strive to make as valuable as possible for exhibitors and visitors alike,” says Event Director at Mash Media, Donna Bushell. “With so many industry experts under one roof, it would be a missed opportunity not to invite them to chair panels, lead debates and share their experiences, so we are thrilled to announce such a diverse line up across our stages and theatres.
“As the live events industry is continually evolving, our mix of speakers and topics has been created to reflect the varied ways events are produced and hopefully act as informative, inspirational and interactive sessions for all attendees,” she adds.
