Events hospitality partner to convention centres, sports stadia and entertainment venues across the UK and North America, Centreplate, has announced its UK division, The Lindley Group, will be adopting the name and brand identity of Centreplate, with immediate effect.

The name change and re-branding comes eight months after Centreplate acquired The Lindley Group business. Since that time, the company has been working to craft a seamless transition.

Centreplate says the decision to rebrand comes in part from interest from current and prospective clients in the company’s strengthened position within the live event market.

Combined, the company will serve more than 115m guests annually across more than 350 venues worldwide.

“This is an exciting period of unprecedented growth for the Centreplate hospitality brand,” said President and CEO of Centreplate, Des Hague. “This new position reinforces our identity as a global hospitality brand and allows for continued expansion across the UK as a single, unified company focused on delivering excellence and driving returns for our clients in the UK and beyond.”

Adam Elliott (pictured), who will continue to head operations as President of Centreplate’s UK division, added: “Since becoming a Centreplate hospitality partner, the growth of the business has accelerated and we have benefitted from having the backing and credentials of a global operator. Being able to draw on Centreplate’s wealth of experience as North America’s leading event hospitality partner has been invaluable in recently securing a seven-year catering and hospitality deal with ACC Liverpool.”

The transition marks the start of a new era for the UK catering and hospitality business, which began operating as a sports stadia caterer from its Stoke-on-Trent base in 1968. The company will also be moving its headquarters to Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent.
