Directors from summer camps across the US will visit Manchester Central next year to recruit UK youngsters looking to work Stateside next summer.

During Smaller Earth’s Summer Camp Job Fair in January 2014, face-to-face interviews will be held for those interested in nine-week work placements in a USA camp.

A variety of positions will be up for grabs in areas such as sport, perming arts, outdoor pursuits, hospitality and special needs.

Following a successful number of events in smaller venues in hotels in Edinburgh, London and Manchester, the fair has grown in popularity and now requires a major venue to host it.

Manchester Central has been chosen to help take the event to the next level in 2014 and Chief Executive Angie Robinson (pictured), said: “The Summer Camp Job Fair has moved from strength-to-strength over the years. I can see this event only growing in size and popularity in the future and I’m delighted that Manchester Central has been chosen to help it achieve its aspirations.”

Chris Coventry, Marketing and Promotions Manager at Smaller Earth, said: “Manchester is a great location, accessible to many heavily student-populated cities. As we’ve grown as a business we have looked to move to Manchester Central and we are so excited for our biggest event to date.”

The job fair will also provide opportunities to find out more about Resort Jobs in Canada, Au Pair and Work & Travel Australia.
