The International Special Events Society (ISES) has announced new roles for UK event professionals Andy Callin, former Managing Director of Sound by Design, and James Morgan (pictured), Marketing Director of Crewsaders.

Callin has been appointed as the new International Relations Chair with responsibility for the International Affiliates within ISES. He managed ISES EMEA for the last five years helping expand ISES Europe and ISES UK, as well as creating three new chapter formations: ISES Middle East, ISES Turkey and ISES Nigeria.

Callin’s new responsibilities will include improving and growing ISES operations outside of the USA. James Morgan will take over as the new ISES Affiliate Chair for EMEA.

“The EMEA region is seen by ISES as the new growth hub for the organisation and Andy has successfully delivered a culturally sensitive business model that has led to penetration into new markets. I intend to continue his work on the growth agenda and create a greater interconnectivity between the EMEA chapters for the future success of the ISES EMEA region and the organisation as a whole,” says Morgan.

ISES has also announced a Strategic Education Partnership (SEP) which will see ISES provide a dedicated Education Track at the Catersource – Event Solutions Conference & Trade Show, which takes place at The Paris Hotel, Las Vegas, 23-26 March, 2014.

The Educational Programme will centre on the role that creativity and creative thought plays in delivering live event experiences. The sessions will be delivered by a number of international thought leaders from across the global ISES membership.

Jodi Collen CSEP, ISES Board of Governors Liaison to the ISES Education Council, says: “Collaboration with other industry organisations is at the very heart of how ISES is seeking to deliver the best possible education to the widest possible audience, and we are pleased to be working with Catersource to help demonstrate the increasingly important role creativity plays in live events.”
