Leeds-based Calder Conferences won ‘Travel/Conference Management Company of the Year’ at the Public Sector Travel Engage Awards, 21 November. The agency was commended for its work to develop a high level of use of third sector properties as conference venues against what was described by judges as “a complex and challenging landscape”.
Calders’ MD Debbie Hoban picked up the award on behalf of the team at the event, held at Renaissance Manchester City Centre Hotel.
Organisers claim the award recognised the travel or conference intermediary that has added the most value to a public sector client.
Calder Conference’s conference solution is powered by venuedirectory.com and Managing Director Michael Begley, said: “We are delighted that they have been awarded this as recognition of their hard work.”
Coventry University and the University of Reading picked up awards for public sector travel management and easyJet was named Supplier of the Year.
