CYE Group’s Ben Gray joins MIA Council

The Meetings Industry Association (mia) has appointed the Founder and MD of venue and event website company CYE Group, Ben Gray, to its Council.
 
Gray says he is keen to help support the adoption of AIM (Accredited in Meetings) among venues and raise awareness of the accreditation among buyers.
 
CYE Group is a collection of four venue and event web portals, such as chooseyourvenue.com and christmasvenues.com.
 
“We’ve been members of the mia for a while now and have been impressed by the association’s broad reaching approach to driving the industry forward while providing genuinely advantageous member benefits,” says Gray. “I’m especially interested in the initiatives the mia has to increase standards in the industry and, like my colleagues on the council, see AIM as the principal means to achieving this objective.
 
“Chooseyourvenue.com already includes AIM accreditation as a criteria when people search for venues on the site and we are encouraging the venues we work with to consider achieving the accreditation and joining mia to reap the benefits.”
 
Gray founded the CYE Group in 2000 and today the company supports four venue and event finding portals, which receive over 2.6m unique visitors per year, list over 15,000 qualified venues, 2,500 activity providers and 6,000 events.
