The Football League has appointed Swindon-based events agency Corporate Events to deliver a nationwide roadshow for senior managers and directors of all 72-member clubs across the Championship, League One and League Two.
The Football League Academy Series is an initiative developed by The Football League, designed to add value by helping member clubs address their most pressing commercial issues. Each event aims to gather between 60-70 Football League senior managers including CEOs, MDs and club specialists relevant to the topic of each seminar, to share best practice via collaborative workshops and guest presentations on specialist topics.
Four different seminars are being staged during the Academy Series, covering Driving Attendance, Digital Opportunities, Content Production and Sponsorship. Each seminar is being repeated once in the North and South, making eight events in total throughout the year. This year’s events are being held at football venues in Rotherham, Swindon, Doncaster, Milton Keynes, Reading, Blackburn, Leicester and Charlton – and the seminars will continue through 2014.
“We’ve designed and delivered a simple, cost-effective set for these events using imagery of fans to focus attention on the people that really matter in the business of football,” says Account Director at Corporate Events, Steve Jebbett.
