If you’ve got something to say and think you can shout about it in front of an audience of event professionals then now is the chance to reply to the Call for Papers for International Confex 2014. The organiser of the show that takes place at Olympia, 12-13 March, is looking for event experts to contribute to the delivery of the best education programme yet.
Themes targeted on the education agenda include ‘How to’ sessions focusing on the fundamentals of delivering an event; Social Media Hub which will look at social media at an advanced level showcasing how it can be an integral part of an event; and Adding Inspiration, where topics include awards, speakers, celebrities, special effects, format, using budget and marketing and engagement. A Brand Activation track will be aimed at agencies and brand managers and will involve case studies showing how live experiences have enhanced a brand or delivered a sales uplift. Meanwhile, The Event Production Show (EPS), which takes place at Earls Court 2, but in February 2014, has opened its registration for what is set to be Europe’s premier showcase for live events.
Content for the popular Access Sessions has been unveiled and the line-up of renowned personalities from the sector on the Main Stage is also released with Richard Vincent, Head of Consumer at brand experience agency Jack Morton Worldwide, to chair a panel on ‘Naming Rights’. The session will focus on experiential marketing from brand and legal perspectives.
Jim King, Event Director at AEG Live/Loud Sound, will talk on the smash series of concerts, ‘Barclaycard Presents British Summer Time’ and John Probyn, COO at Live Nation will dissect the new HSE Construction, Design and Management regulations in a debate with representatives from the HSE, Star Events Group and Serious Stages.
In addition, the third annual Event Production Awards (EPA) will take place on the evening of Tuesday 11 February 2014 to recognise the projects, teams and suppliers that made 2013 a standout year for events.
“Announcing registration is open is always an exciting moment in the build-up to the show,” says Event Director, Donna Bushell. “To add to this, we wanted to give exhibitors and visitors a flavour of what’s planned and who they can expect to see in the hope it will act as a reminder to put dates in the diary and reinforce that the show is the ‘go to’ event for the latest information, trends and innovations.”
Aimed at event organisers, production teams, corporates, brand managers, concert promoters, festival organisers and experiential marketers, the 2014 Event Production Show takes place at Earls Court 2, London from 11-12 February 2014.
