Recently the International Special Events Society (ISES) UK hosted two exclusive seminar sessions at the Restaurant Show at Earls Court 2 as part of its unique ISESPOWERHOURS events.
Having partnered with the show, ISES UK and guest speakers from Concerto Group and Agogo’s Food offered a wealth of inspiration and insight to help catering and events companies as well as venues to be creative and expand their business.
Over 325 exhibitors, industry experts and ISES members were treated to sessions with Mike Kershaw, Chairman and Peter Kerwood, Marketing Director of Concerto Group, who captivated audiences as they looked at current trends in venue and event marketing. Later Jane Parkinson, award winning wine writer together with Jide Ariyo and Nahom Teweldemedhin, Directors of Agogo’s Food looked at trending ican and Caribbean dishes that can be served at high end events.
At this session food and wine were paired together for a perfect match, includingSpiced jerk chicken and asparagus roulade with chocolate truffle jerk tomato ketchup, washed down with Villa Maria Cellar Selection Pinot Noir; andScallops, ackee and saltfish annatto pursettes, accompanied with Quinta do Azevedo Vinho Verde.
