Conference News and Mash Media are celebrating after winning three journalism awards and being shortlisted for five at this year’s Business Travel Journalism Awards. The awards ceremony was held at London’s Bloomsbury Ballroom on Friday night (11 October).
Conference News took home the inaugural ‘Editorial Team of the Year – Meetings & Events’ gong with CN’s Deputy Editor, Sarah O’Donnell, claiming for the third consecutive year the ‘Best Use of Social Media in Business Travel Journalism’ award. She also won the final award of the evening: ‘The Journalists’ Business Travel or Meetings & Events Journalist of the Year’, which was voted for on the night by the other journalists in attendance.
CN’s Reporter, Zoe Vernor, was shortlisted for ‘Best Newcomer to Business Travel Journalism’; CN’s Managing Editor Paul Colston was shortlisted for ‘Meetings & Events Editor of the Year’ as well as ‘The Journalists’ Business Travel or Meetings & Events Journalist of the Year’, and O’Donnell was also shortlisted for ‘Meetings & Events Features Journalist of the Year’.
