Discover Wales was organised by Visit Wales and UKinbound, in partnership with VisitBritain. UKinbound’s ‘Discover’ programme has been designed to inform and educate their tour operator members about regions throughout the UK, to help foster and develop relationships and business between suppliers in new areas.
Mary Rance, Chief Executive of Ukinbound, reported that the event had been the biggest and most impressive Discover event held to date.
The event was held at the Cardiff Marriott hotel on 3 October and brought together 50 inbound and international tour operators and 36 Welsh tourism businesses in a bid to forge relationships and contacts and raise awareness of the products on offer in Wales which could be sold via these influential intermediaries to their clients.
