Twenty-five venue finders and event planners from agencies in the North East met recently at five-star resort Rockliffe Hall to discover more about the appeal of Independent Venues and what they can offer the Meeting and Event Planner.
The Independent Venue Showcase, run by CHS Group, is one of six showcases that the group are running throughout 2013 in strategic locations in England. Venues from across the UK exhibited including Aintree Racecourse, Bovey Castle, The International Centre Telford and Keele University. They showcased their meeting facilities complimented by a wide choice of corporate and team building activities such as Nordic walking at Rockliffe Hall or horse racing at Haydock Park.
Rockliffe Hall, winner of the Large Hotel of the Year 2012 at the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence, is a five star hotel, golf and spa resort set on a restored 18th century estate on the banks of the River Tees, just minutes from Darlington.
The event was attended by key agencies such as Helms Briscoe, Banks Sadler and Pineapple events who attended a drinks reception, followed by the showcase and dinner in the Orangery.
