Lindley Venue Catering (LVC), the catering partner of Bristol City FC, has achieved the Silver Food for Life Catering Mark for the league one club’s hospitality and event menus.
Bristol City FC’s Ashton Gate is the first sports stadium to achieve this accreditation, according to LVC.
The Silver Food for Life Catering Mark was awarded by the Soil Association, which is head-quartered in Bristol and assures guests at the Ashton Gate hospitality facilities that the menus feature fresh and healthy meals that only use sustainable fish and seod, and meat which is UK Farm Assured. The accreditation recognises the commitment of both parties to ensuring that the menus focus on high quality, freshly-prepared food using British and locally-sourced seasonal produce.
LVC, the specialist sports stadia catering division of The Lindley Group, has been the catering partner at the Ashton Gate Stadium since 2001.
“We are delighted with this achievement are proud that, once again, The Lindley Group is leading the way and raising the bar when it comes to food quality and sustainability – this time by creating the first sports stadium hospitality menus in England to qualify for this accreditation,” says The Lindley Group’s Corporate and Social Responsibility Manager, Anna Standen. “Work is also well advanced at a number of our other partner venues to achieve the Food for Life Catering Mark.”
