Travel and event industry PR and marketing agency, Turtle PR, has been awarded ‘Best New Business, Under Three Years’ at the inaugural British Young Business Awards.

The ceremony was held at The Mayfair Hotel and was hosted by the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, Rt Hon Dr Vince Cable MP, and Runner-Up in The Apprentice, Luisa Zissman.

The boutique agency beat five other new businesses to the award, including news-gathering app Summly and cab comparison site Kabbee.

Thousands of voters came from organiser IEG Global’s network of young business owners, and members of The Princes Trust.

With 14 categories, nominees were initially selected by a judging panel that spent the first six months of 2013 researching, interviewing and compiling a list of top British entrepreneurs and businesses, to make the final nominee list for the 2013 British Young Business Awards.
