Independent creative agency, Mammoth Events, has been appointed to produce the 2013 International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC) Awards Banquet, due to be held at London’s Guildhall on 13 November.

Founded in 1969, the IWSC is an international competition receiving entries from nearly 90 countries. Promoting the quality and excellence of the world’s best wines, spirits and liquors, the competition culminates with an annual awards banquet.

“We were impressed with the fresh approach that Mammoth brought to the project,” says IWSC Group Operations Controller Bev Steer. “Although our awards are steeped in tradition it is important that we work with a partner who understands the need to reflect this, while also developing the experience for our guests.”

Following the successful delivery of the Lyreco Sales Convention and the Fragrance Foundation Awards (FiFi), Mammoth Events have been reappointed to produce both events again in 2014, without either organisation embarking on a formal tender process.

“It’s been an absolutely incredible first 12 months and we’re already at capacity for the first half of year two,” says Mammoth Events’ Director, George Thompson.

Mammoth Events, which was established in July 2012 by George Thompson and Amanda Gilmour (pictured), specialises in the management and production of live events and communications.
