Leicester Tigers rugby club’s conference and events department is inviting meeting planners to participate in an exclusive afternoon of teambuilding activities on 30 August at the club’s Welford Road stadium.
This event will see teams of meeting planners pitted against each other for a chance to win the ‘Tackle the Tigers Challenge’ trophy. The afternoon will start with a personal insight into ‘Winning Ways’ given by a former international and will be followed by ‘Hitting the Targets’, a series of challenges presented by Rory Underwood, a club ambassador and England’s record try scorer.
Sarah Roberts, Head of Events at the club, says: “Leicester Tigers are all about strength, power, and winning – all features of a good business agenda and meetings experience. Not only do we have the largest venue in the East Midlands, but a venue that also uniquely allows meeting organisers to use this ethos to put more power into their meetings and get better results, too. The event will allow meeting planners unfamiliar with the huge amount of space available at our venue to view the facilities and have some fun as well.”
Planners will be able to take part in a back of house tour and the Friday event will include prizes and a pitch side barbecue.
For participants interested in making a weekend out of it, there will be an opportunity to stay overnight at a local hotel and to come back on Saturday afternoon, 31 August, to see the Leicester Tigers take on Ulster in the final pre-season fixture before the team kicks off its defence of the Aviva Premiership crown.
Agency or corporate meeting planners interested in attending this exclusive event should register at: leicestertigers.com/tacklethetigers or email: tacklethetigers@tigers.co.uk
