Sam Warnock has joined the regional tourism organisation for the West Midlands, Visit Heart of England, as its Tourism Marketing Director.
Warnock is responsible for growing the region’s tourism website and working with the hundreds of regional attractions, destinations and accommodations suppliers to increase visitors to the area.
He joins from the travel trade show Best of Britain & Ireland, where he was Event Director responsible for promoting the UK and Ireland’s tourism product to coach operators, group travel organisers and travel agents, bringing them together to do new business.
Previously, Warnock was Head of Tourism Marketing at Advantage West Midlands, and prior to that in a similar position at Heart of England Tourist Board.
“Sam’s regional tourism knowledge, reaching back many years, brings added experience and professionalism to our aim to increase visitors to tourism venues throughout Birmingham, Staffordshire, Shropshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Warwickshire,” says Visit Heart of England MD, Andrew Haddow. “He is both well known, and respected in the region’s tourism industry, and we are delighted that he is joining us now to grow the business”.
