The Britain for Events campaign, which commences next week, reports it has received high profile support from VisitScotland, London & Partners, Liverpool Convention Bureau and International Confex as well as major event industry associations and the Business Visits and Events Partnership (BVEP).
The Britain for Events campaign will run throughout 2013, with the primary objective of ensuring the continuing competitiveness of the UK events industry.
The campaign, which has been working in partnership with International Confex as official secretariat for the All Party Parliamentary Group Inquiry over the spring, will be hosting an official launch alongside the findings of the inquiry later in the summer.
Last year Britain for Events enjoyed high profile support from Prime Minister David Cameron and is expecting similarly high support this year. On top of its government-facing activity the campaign will continue to target businesses and consumers to encourage the positive use of events in business.
“It’s excellent to see such enthusiasm behind this important campaign from major trade associations in membership of the BVEP, and we are particularly thankful to International Confex for its continual support,” says Campaign spokesperson for Britain for Events, Michael Hirst. “The campaign’s input into the APPG Inquiry could be a major win for the industry in front of its government audiences.”
