London events venue and the headquarters of the Royal Aeronautical Society, No.4 Hamilton Place, hosted the first Event Industry TweetUp for 2013 last night (5 March).

Organised by Concerto’s Peter Kerwood, Luma’s Tim Williams, and writer and journalist Mike Fletcher, the TweetUp attracted 100 #Eventprofs (event professionals on the social media site Twitter).

Food was provided by Dish Catering and the expert speaker on the night was Katie McPhee, the UK Community Manager from event ticketing technology supplier, Eventbrite.

“Last night’s TweetUp offered a great chance to meet, network and learn more about social technology tools for events,” says Kerwood. “Our speaker from Eventbrite was inspiring. I spoke to lots of people on the night who found the event to be useful both personally and professionally.”

The team behind this event will be hosting monthly TweetUps during 2013 at venues all over London.

Previous TweetUps have been hosted at the Sea Life London Aquarium, The Brewery, the London Dungeon and Madame Tussauds.
