Venue finding and events agency Zibrant has made “a handful” of redundancies in its sales structure.

The agency, which features in the Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For 2012, tells CN, however, it has enjoyed another successful year with zero account losses and seven major client wins in 2012, including, most recently, a European venue, events and production contract in December.

“With corporates continuing to look for more cost effective ways of working and saving money on meetings and events spend, along with outsourcing services, Zibrant has responded by reviewing its sales structure in line with the trend of clients looking for a consultative approach. This has resulted in a realignment of resources by industry sector and a handful of roles becoming redundant,” the company tells CN.

Zibrant MD Sales and Marketing, Fay Sharpe (pictured), says: “In order to provide the best service and the most cost effective and innovative solutions, we must continuously review best practice throughout the business, including this review of our sales and account team, and we’ve also committed to further resources in marketing and marketing activity.

“I’m seeing corporates don’t want to be sold to, they like our consultative approach which focusses on building long term relationships that are transparent, open and honest.”

Sharpe adds that Zibrant is putting service delivery at the heart of our process through its Service Delivery Managers in the Operations Team. “They will be key to supporting this approach as they become more heavily involved in our contracted client relationships to support the strategy,” Sharpe says.
