Nolk Showground
has appointed Greg Smith as Chief Executive of the Royal Nolk
Agricultural Association, while the role of Royal Nolk Show Director
has passed to Julian Taylor.
Smith and Taylor have been tasked
with delivering The Royal Nolk Show 2013. The show is one of only
five with Royal recognition and attracts 90,000 visitors.
“This
year we will have the Nolk Machinery Club demonstrating in the Grand
Ring, displaying machinery that is used in potato farming,” says Taylor.
“We also have a food hall with over 70 stands, of which half are now
Nolk suppliers.”
Smith says one of his main priorities in his
new role is to develop the potential of the near 400-acre site at
Costessey, which includes the recently-opened 3,000sqm conference and
exhibition centre.
