Kenes UK MD Michael Foreman has resigned from his post at the London-based event management company.

Foreman, who is also Chair of the Association of British Professional Conference Organisers (ABPCO) will leave his post as MD and co-owner at Kenes UK on 31 December.

Claire Joffe, Director of Projects and current co-owner, will also be leaving the company and Kenes Group has bought full control of the UK business.

Foreman tells CN: “The past 10 years have been a great success for me and the companies I have been involved in. It has been an incredible rollercoaster ride and I have realised that I have not had much time to breathe. This is now a great opportunity to take stock and enjoy the rewards of these achievements. I will remain in this amazing Industry and definitely want to keep an integral role in ABPCO. This market reminds me of the internet; everyone is ’linkedin’ and knows each other.”

Foreman says he hopes to set up his own professional services company in the New Year. “My ambition is now to launch a new professional services company where we will ask the right questions of our networks, look at ways of further bridging the buyer-supplier gap and optimising the power of partnerships to drive success,” he says. “The next few months will be a great opportunity to start asking questions and developing new and innovative solutions for the various stakeholders in the meetings industry.”

Dion Bassett will remain with Kenes UK as Senior Project Manager and Inbar Caspi, currently Senior Project Manager of Kenes International, has been appointed to oversee operations in London. Caspi has worked with Kenes for seven years and has led the management of key congress projects for Kenes.

Dan Rivlin, CEO of the Kenes Group, said “We are grateful to Michael and Claire for helping Kenes cement a foundation in the UK market and their efforts in building the company over the past three years. We wish them every success in their future endeavours.

“Inbar is a true professional and we are sure that under her leadership, as well as with continued support from the Kenes Group, we will continue to achieve our vision and grow our presence in the UK with renewed energy and focus.”
