California-based Cloud-based activity and participant management (APM) specialists Active Network has been selected by the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) to power all of the global association’s events.

Active will be exclusive event management technology partner and will power the PCMA’s annual conferences such as Convening Leaders and worldwide chapter events.

PCMA is implementing RegOnline, Active Network’s attendee management solution to power its 200 plus chapter meetings across the US, Canada and Mexico.

Previously, PCMA chapter members had to remember multiple usernames and passwords and re-enter basic profile information every time they wanted to register for an event. With the new single sign on capability, members will be able to create a single username, password and profile that can be used to register for any chapter event or meeting hosted by the association.

Active claims its technology will deliver to the PCMA efficiencies in event management, deepen attendee engagement and allow valuable insights into the association’s membership across worldwide events.

“Smart businesses consolidate all data from their meetings and events to better manage spend and offer attendees a more personalised experience. This is only possible when you integrate all of your data points and events through a single technology suite,” said Sherrif Karamat, COO of PCMA. “It is our belief that Active Network is the only event technology partner than can power everything from local meetings to highly complex, international events.”

“Our expanded partnership with PCMA is a testament to the quality and breadth of solutions that we offer,” said JR Sherman, SVP of Business Solutions at Active Network. “Together with PCMA, we are committed to leading our industry forward with a suite of technologies that will transform events from being a cost centre to being a revenue driver for businesses everywhere.”
