The new £2.5m spa development at specialist conference venue Wyboston Lakes has officially opened.

The Y Spa, as it is named, is part of the company’s strategy of developing its leisure offering in ways that will also enhance the core business.

Y Spa is located at the Wyboston Lake’s Hotel on the Berdshire/Cambridgeshire border and has the capacity for up to 120 people at any one time. It has 11 therapy rooms including a special double therapy suite with mud rasul cabin. A signature feature is its external hydro-pool and kelo sauna in the south facing spa garden, together with an open-air fireplace and sunloungers. It also has an extensive thermal suite which offers hot and cold therapies.

Wyboston Lakes’ Managing Director, Mark Jones, said: “Y Spa’s total philosophy is about health, wellness and rejuvenation with many of those things relying on pleasure.  So, for example, the Spa Café serves sparkling wines, draught lager, cupcakes and brownies as well as low fat options, something to ignite the taste buds and allow you to feel indulged.”

Y Spa will be open to leisure visitors and to delegates attending events at the venue’s two specialist training venues, the Wyboston lakes Executive Centre and the Wyboston Lakes Training Centre.

“More and more of our conference and training customers are making use of our onsite leisure activities and the spa facility will only add to our leisure offering,” said Spa Director Emma Jane North.
