London independent caterer Dish has recorded a strong year having served 50,000 covers and guests such as The Duke of Edinburgh, David Cameron, Lewis Moody, Zane Lowe, George Lamb and Barbara Windsor.

Dish has catered for 300 events so far this year with 80 more in the pipeline and 85 enquiries to be converted by the year end. Events included the Activate Sports Awards, The Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund, Alice in Wonderland at the Natural History Museum, Top Shop’s S/S 2013 Fashion Show, The Swarm roller-coaster launch at Thorpe Park and JLS’ aftershave ‘Kiss’ launch.

“This year’s numbers represent a 20 per cent growth year-on-year,” says Dish Managing Director Nick James. “There’s a fear within the industry that mid-sized event caterers cannot deliver large numbers or service in-house catering contracts.

“We now run the restaurant on the London Eye Barracuda which is growth in the public catering sector for Dish. Plus, since we’ve moved to Greenwich, we have been able to upscale our production; we can produce 2,500 covers for a sit down dinner.”

Dish is the in-house caterer at No.4 Hamilton Place, HMS President, Thorpe Park and London Eye Barracuda and listed at Tobacco Dock, Roundhouse, Madame Tussauds, Natural History Museum, Old Billingsgate and One Marylebone.
