BI Worldwide has bought into Miami-based full service agency SparkTran in order to expand its business in Central and South America.

SparkTran will rebrand as BI Worldwide Latin America and company President Joel Milgram said: “The partnership forges an organisation that combines local know-how, long-term financial stability and a global footprint that allows us to provide the kind of employee, consumer and channel solutions that businesses are seeking both nationally and internationally.”

The new operation complements existing BI Worldwide operations in Australia, Canada, China, India and Europe.

BI Worldwide MD Mike Davies, said the investment meant the company could deliver consistent standards and practices across the world for employee, sales and channel engagement programmes. “Technology is driving changes across the world where we have seen, and foresee, a significant growth in the needs of clients to literally ‘think globally and act locally’.”

BI Worldwide is part of the US$400m, US-based Schoeneckers, and employs over a thousand staff worldwide.
