The next Visit Essex ‘Essex Venue Showcase’ will now take place on Thursday 7 February 2013.
The venue will be the Crowne Plaza Hotel Docklands and organisers expect 20 Essex venues to exhibit. Originally planned for 19 October, the showcase has been re-scheduled, according to Visit Essex Business Tourism Director Carol Jolly, to enable more organisers to attend.
Delegates will be able to take the Emirates Cable Car from North Greenwich to Royal Victoria, and also take a tour of the new Siemens Crystal Building, which is next door to the Emirates booking office, and a few hundred yards from the Crowne Plaza.
The showcase will include a presentation on Southend’s new Cultural Centre at the end of the Pier (pictured) and of the Essex Offer.
The event is free to attend for event organisers.
Jolly tells CN: “I had many emails from new contacts who wanted to come along but couldn’t spare the time to attend [19 October], due to the fact that they were tied up with organising events themselves, mainly Christmas and New Year focused.
“We obviously want to attract as many people as possible to the event, and changing the date means that we will also have the opportunity to invite our new venues who have joined Visit Essex for Business over the last couple of months. Those organisers previously registered to attend are still coming, and I have already received new bookings.”
