Devon-based conference and events venue Dartington Hall has won the John Rees Community Award from the Hotel Booking Agents Association (HBAA).
The award recognises the venue’s corporate citizenship and acknowledges the contribution made by any member organisation or individual within their local community.
The judges believe Dartington Hall truly sees corporate citizenship as being central to its business. They were impressed with the range of initiatives that engage with and support its local community ranging from sensory and community gardens to an apprenticeship scheme.
The award was collected by Business Development Manager for Dartington Hall Trust, Karen Gough, at the London award ceremony held at The Radisson Blu.
Earlier in the year Dartington Hall was presented with the Sustainable Hospitality and Corporate Social Responsibility award in the Conde Nast Johansens 2012 Awards for Excellence.
