Event management agency, CWT Meetings and Events, has appointed Ian Cummings as its Interim Director for the UK and Ireland.
Effective 1 October, Cummings’ appointment will see him reporting to Patrick Andersen, Executive VP UK & Ireland, Nordics and Eastern Europe at Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT).
The initial role is for a six-month interim period to devise and begin implementation of a three-year business growth strategy.
“Ian has a proven track record in high-level leadership, with a strong background in customer and relationship management, which will benefit our clients and business,” said Andersen.
Most recently, Cummings was CEO of eCourier, a same-day courier business, where he completed the successful exit for the majority shareholder.
With an international reach of 1,600 event specialists extending across 75 countries worldwide, CWT Meetings and Events delivers over 35,000 events each year for its customers.
