The Meetings Show UK has signed four strategic partnerships to ensure it “delivers on its promise” to bring high quality buyers to the inaugural event in 2013.

It hopes these partnerships, which include the Hotel Booking Agents Association (HBAA), The Buyers Networking Club and European meetings tradeshows Convene and Conventa, will attract buyers from the corporate, agency and venue finder markets in the UK and Europe.

Focused on venue finders and agency buyers, the partnership with the HBAA will ensure the show is attended by these influential buyers who account for an estimated £2.3bn worth of spending in the business travel sector. In addition, venue and supplier members of the HBAA will benefit from the two organisations close working relationship.

Based around cross promotion at corporate buyer events, the strategic partnership with The Buyer Networking Club will exclusively promote The Meetings Show UK to this community in February and June 2013. The agreement will see a strong presence from both organisations at each other’s events in addition to collaborative marketing including web-based promotion.

The Buyers Networking Club, Managing Director, Kim Paulden, said: “The Meetings Show UK will provide our industry with the perfect balance of professional education, networking and face-to-face meetings.”

The partnerships with meetings industry tradeshows in South Eastern Europe and the Baltics, Convene and Conventa respectively, will ensure hosted buyers attending The Meetings Show UK represent the whole of the European market, while growing exhibitor attendance from the regions. The strategic partnerships will promote all three events to all three buyer markets through balanced cross promotion and reciprocal marketing.

“The success of The Meetings Show UK will be directly related to the attendance of quality buyers who organise meetings, conferences and incentives,” said The Meetings Show UK, Event Director, Steve Knight (pictured). “As a show organised for meeting professionals by meeting professionals we want to ensure that our strategic partnerships offer true value for all involved. Consequently, while they give us unparalleled access to key corporate, agency, venue finding and European buyers they also allow us to directly give back to our partners.”

The Meetings Show UK’s inaugural event will take place during week commencing 8 July, 2013 at Olympia, London. The 5,000 visitors to the show will include 1,500 hosted buyers from across the UK and Europe.
