Sue Beverley (formerly Crawley) and Owner and Organiser of the Leeds-based Conference and Hospitality Show, Emma Cartmell, have merged their existing companies (Fire Circle and Event Management 360 respectively) to form a new corporate entity which they describe as ‘an introduction agency’ for the meetings industry, introducing suppliers to buyers.
Named ‘The CHS Group’ (the Conference and Hospitality Show is still the company’s main event) the company is to branch out to offer independent venue showcases with small gatherings of handpicked buyers and independent venues in the UK.
Three showcases are planned to take place by the end of November 2012 at five-star venues in Cheshire, Yorkshire and Hertfordshire. “We are planning a further six for 2013,” says Beverley.
The Conference and Hospitality Show is now in its fourth year (CHS13) and has increased 50 per cent in size year-on-year since its inception, Beverley and Cartmell claim. “It is the fastest growing MICE show of its type outside of London,” they add.
The new entity will also run bespoke events and undertake lead generation for clients.
