Venue Reservations, the free venue-finding and events planning service, has launched an apprenticeship programme, aiming to provide young people with invaluable corporate, sales and event planning experience.

The programme, claimed by Venue Reservations to be an industry first, will see apprentices gain experience in the sales environment of Venue Reservations, part of the Crown Group, as well as understanding each facet of the operational functions of its sister companies and supporting research and learning activities.

A similar programme was launched at Piggotts, Venue Reservations’ sister company, in September 2011 and the company has since taken on its first apprentice in a full-time permanent role.

“We are dedicated to nurturing and developing a new crop of young talent with Venue Reservations,” says Customer Services Director, Crown Group, Nicky Pratt.

Eden Quinn, 17 and Chloe Scripps, 18, have been named as the first apprenticeships to join the Venue Reservations team in its London office for one year while also studying for customer service and sales and telesales NVQ’s.
