In its 25th year, Reed Travel Exhibitions’ Barcelona-based EIBTM is responding to demand from hosted buyers for one-, two-and three-day attendance options to suit a more flexible approach to individual business plans.
Reacting to post-show research, EIBTM says it has widened its net to include more departure airports around the country with early departures and options to return the same day. There will be new flight routes available from Scotland and the North of England.
Buyers are also being offered three tiers of attendance options: fully hosted, semi hosted or appointment only.
June Clark, who heads RTE’s hosted buyer programme, says half the hosted buyers who attended from the UK last year had spending budgets for international business of over US$1m and many had asked for more flexibility in their travel arrangements.
“Our team are accepting a higher number of professional planners from the UK this year and will be discussing the options so that we create a tailored programme to suit the individual’s needs,” says Clark. “Of course all of those that apply will have to match the usual qualifying criteria.”
In return for complimentary flights, accommodation and transfers, participants will receive a personal diary of pre-scheduled appointments with exhibitors of their choice, invites to networking functions and dedicated education.
The hosted buyer programme is open to those who influence or make budgetary decisions for international business travel, meetings, incentive travel, international conventions, product launches, or staff training.
EIBTM 2012 takes place 27-29 November, at Gran Via Barcelona.
