The latest venue to bow to customer demand for free Wi-Fi is Whittlebury Hall Conference and Training Centre, Hotel and Spa. The Northamptonshire venue is now offering every guest complimentary Wi-Fi access.
Whittlebury Hall points out that a customer feedback study by The Mystery Dining Company this year discovered that the availability of Wi-Fi was an important factor for at least 8 in 10 UK people when choosing where to stay.
“The fact most people have broadband [ISPs] at home these days, coupled with decreasing costs and widespread availability of free Wi-Fi access in restaurants, cafes and retail operations, guests are now reluctant to pay for it and can feel as though they are being held to ransom by a venue when it is not offered for free or a nominal charge,” says Steven Pike, Director of The Mystery Dining Company.
“With the increasing demand for Wi-Fi access we felt it essential to install a new and improved Wi-Fi system ensuring guests have access to complimentary internet use throughout the property during their visit, whether they are here on business or pleasure,” says Whittlebury Hall Director of Sales and Marketing, Michael Stott.
“With the launch of the newly–installed Wi-Fi system in all public areas and rooms, complimentary internet access is now available everywhere within the venue, with internet speed 40 times faster than previously, so guests in our Conference Training Centre, Hotel and Spa can now get truly connected,” he adds.
